Success is Mandatory

The funny thing these days is that in our effort to merely survive, we’ve re-defined the word success. Used to be, way back in the early “aughts”, that success in business meant hugely positive cash-flow that allowed for investment into a string of related businesses and funded the development of new and innovative products and services. It wasn’t about what was happening today – it was more about what was happening tomorrow. And it wasn’t about what other companies were doing, it was all about what yours was doing. Boy, how times have changed. But, have they really? Have times changed us or have we changed ourselves?
